Vanilla Cream Sundae (ca. 2013) and Sapphire Cafe (ca.2012) are going to attempt to do the Baby Boomer Challenge this time around.
Van is a vampire and Sapphire is a hybrid genie/witch
Van heads off immediately and gets the same job he did 10 years ago, Culinary.
Sapphire starts painting.
Job is done.
He heads to the library to get a cooking skill level real quick.
Then he wished for a vampiric sunscreen. They are broke, but we did find one for super cheap.
…wish completed.
How have I never paid attention to the jar of freezer bunnies.
More painting.
We normally have a better chance at consignment flipping, but I spent so much building the house shell and buying the biggest lot in Moonlight Falls, that they only had $25 left over.
Hmm..whatever could this mean?
Van had an opportunity and had to befriend this guy.
We doubled up!
Every morning before work, Van takes any items he finds or Sapphire paints and consigns them. Then he will buy cheap stuff and resell it in the hopes of a big payday.
Another day, another paycheck.
Sapphire only has one spot for wishes. I have him rush around to get the missable ones in holding done, so he does clean the toilet.
They are barely keeping their heads above water.
Sadly, with Van working nights and Sapphire painting all day, they have opposite schedules. It might come in handy later on with childcare, but for now, it’s not. They hardly see each other.
See! They literally have $1 in the bank.
Van gets a raise and he finally gets a promotion on top of that. Sapphire hits level five in painting. They have just enough now to pay the bills and buy Sapphire a tablet to listen to tabcasts.
First still life is a traffic sign.
Both go into labor within a few minutes of each other and head to the hospital.
One trait was locked in for Baako, which means “first born child”.
Well, we got boy #1/12. His randomized roll was Eccentric. He is a full vampire like Van, but he got the hidden “Immune to Fire” trait from Sapphire.
And boy #2/12: Baldric, which means “bold, brave”. Randomized traits for this little one are Artistic and Charismatic. Same as his twin, he is a Vampire, but is Immune to Fire.
Does that mean he won’t combust if he’s outdoors too long?
Van: Can you not puke on my lawn?
Just enough to get a couple of cribs and some lights.
Well, the cribs were bought prior to the birth. Van has the night shift.
Thank you auto-TFB gods.
Sapphire takes care of the day shift.
More items were bought to fill out the nursery.
In case you wondered what the shell of the house looked like.
First broken toilet.
Omg, stop you two!
Money is back in the bank.
Toddler time!
Van tries to find some deals at the regular consignment shop, but had no luck.
Sapphire’s stylized painting of a flock of birds looks weird.
Van has taken up potion making in his spare time, but since they can’t afford a potion table, he uses one at the elixir consignment shop.
Finally birthday time.
They are so cute.
Potty training is always the first thing to teach.
Van: Kitteh!
Kitty: Vampeh!
Labor time for both.
Another boy #3/12 and our first girl #1/12.
A basket!
Boy #4/12 and #5/12.
So, in the first rules a few years ago, fertility treatment was not allowed. I scoured the remade rules and that is not there now.
Van got Fertility Treatment.
Sapphire got No Bills Ever.
Basket of babies.
It’s a good thing this happened. We need more cribs.
Of course we couldn’t afford enough for all of the kids.
Synchronized potty time!
They have four cribs for four babies.
Van is back on the night shift.
Screw you, Sapphire. Even though I can have more than 8 in the household, we are not doing that.
Learning little by little.
By little…
By little. Babies age up after 1 day and toddlers after 3. So, everything has to be done very fast.
In the nick of time. Baldric rolls Hopeless Romantic.
Time for Baako! He got Bot Fan.
Then the babies age up.
I got sidetracked by this painting. In 12 years, I have never seen it before.
The night shift goes on. He wakes them up one by one in the hopes of getting them all situated for the day without a lot of screaming.
Sapphire: Why the hell did you ditch school?!
Baako: I have floaty hair, dad! They were all making fun of me.
Sapphire: There, all fixed. Don’t let me catch you ditching again.
Bartholomew – Brave and Family-Oriented.
Balfour – Adventurous and Absent-Minded.
Babette – Disciplined and Good.
Basil – Natural Cook and Friendly.
Omg, Van. Just stop.
The cribs were put in the family inventory and napping pads were bought.
A second bathroom was added as well and the boys got some bunkbeds.
Babette has learned to walk. Van works on the toddlers at night and Sapphire in the morning while Van is asleep.
Sapphire: What. the. fuck. Ditching again? Why?
Baako: I didn’t want to go on the field trip!
Sapphire: Ditching on a fieldtrip day? Go take a timeout!
The moment when you realize that the Collection Helper is not 60k points. I am going for the mini challenge “Never Learned to Share” so only Van can use the Collection Helper.
We actually found all of this stuff in the woods behind the house and he runs straight to sell them all.
Sapphire let Baako off the hook.
I swear Sapphire worked on this painting for days. The kids kept him too busy to finish it.
